VAN HOUTTE® $10,000 2026 NATIONAL CONTEST 

Full Rules

THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY
AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW

Standard data rates apply to participants who choose to participate in the Contest via a mobile device. Please contact your service provider for pricing and service plan information and rates before mobile device participation.

1. KEY DATES:

The Van Houtte® $10,000 2026 National Contest (the “Contest”) is brought to you by Keurig Canada ULC (the “Sponsor”) and begins on August 10, 2026, at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on November 15, 2026, at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).

The contest period consists of fourteen (14) weeks.

Secondary prize draws will begin the week of August 23, 2026, and will take place over ten (10) consecutive weeks.

The grand prize draw will take place during the week of November 15, 2026.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Contest is open only to residents of Canada who have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence at the time of entry; except employees, representatives, agents, officers or directors (and those with whom such persons are living, whether related or not) of the Sponsor, its divisions, subsidiaries, associated and affiliated entities, bottlers, redemption/recycling centres, prize suppliers, advertising/promotion agencies and any other individual(s), entity or entities involved in the development, production, implementation, administration or fulfillment of the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”).

Participants must have online access with a valid email address at the time of entry.

If you participate via a mobile device, standard data charges from your wireless service provider may apply. Please contact your wireless service provider for details on these and any other applicable charges. Participants are solely responsible for any such data charges.

3. AGREEMENT TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY RULES

By participating in this Contest, you are signifying your agreement that you have read and agree to be legally bound by these Rules.

The Contest Parties and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not responsible for, and accept no liability whatsoever in relation to, any late, lost, misdirected, delayed or incomplete entries (all of which are void).

4. HOW TO ENTER

WITH PURCHASE

To enter with purchase:

• Buy at least one (1) eligible Van Houtte® product from a participating retailer during the contest period

• Keep the original sales receipt

• Visit www.vanhouttecontests.ca

• Fill out the official Entry Form

• Upload a photo or scan of an eligible receipt

One (1) qualifying product purchased constitutes one (1) Entry into the Contest. A participant may earn a maximum of twenty (20) Entries for the entire duration of the contest, whether earned through eligible product purchases and/or original one hundred (100)-word essays.

The same receipt may be submitted only once and may not be used by more than one person to earn an entry.

WITHOUT PURCHASE

To enter without making a purchase:  

• Visit www.vanhouttecontests.ca  

• Fill out the official Entry Form

• Submit an original essay of at least one hundred (100) words explaining why you enjoy consuming Van Houtte® products.

One (1) Entry is allowed per eligible original essay.

You must have a valid email address, phone number, and mailing address to enter the Contest.

5. ADDITIONAL RULES

All Van Houtte® products are eligible for the contest.
Purchases made at any retailer in Canada are eligible.
Purchases made on keurig.ca are also eligible; however, entries associated with these purchases are automatically registered. 

One (1) Entry is awarded for each eligible product purchased or per original 100-word essay. Participants must also comply with all contest eligibility requirements.

Limit of twenty (20) Entries per person for the duration of the Contest regardless of the method of entry. 

This limit also includes eligible purchases made on keurig.ca.

If it is discovered by the Sponsor that a person has attempted to obtain more than twenty (20) Entries, to use multiple names, identities, or email addresses, or to use any automated system or program, that person may be disqualified at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.

An Entry may be rejected if it is not submitted and received in accordance with these Rules.

The Released Parties are not responsible for any late, lost, misdirected, delayed or incomplete entries.

6. VERIFICATION
All Entries are subject to verification at any time and for any reason.

The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including government issued photo identification).

Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Sponsor within the timeline may result in disqualification.

ANYONE DEEMED BY THE SPONSOR TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE SPONSOR’S INTERPRETATION OF THE LETTER AND/OR SPIRIT OF THESE RULES IS SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION AT ANY TIME.

The Sponsor reserves the right to refuse an Entry from any person whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter.

7. PRIZES

There is a total of eleven (11) prizes available to be won in relation to this Contest. 

GRAND PRIZE

• One (1) Grand Prize of CAD $10,000, awarded to the winner via bank deposit.

SECONDARY PRIZES

• Ten (10) Prizes, each consisting of the equivalent of one (1) year of Van Houtte® coffee products.

Approximate retail value of each secondary prize: more than CAD $200. Each Prize consists of a one-time shipment of 384 Van Houtte® K-Cup® pods.

The Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable or convertible to cash, except at the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor.
No substitutions except at Sponsor’s option.
 

PRIZE LIMITS

Each participant is eligible to win only one (1) Secondary Prize. However, winners of a Secondary Prize remain eligible for the Grand Prize draw. The Grand Prize will be awarded by random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period, including entries from Secondary Prize winners.

The odds of winning a Secondary Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received prior to the applicable weekly draw.

A mandatory mathematical skill-testing question must be answered correctly to be declared a winner.

8. WINNER SELECTION PROCESS
SECONDARY PRIZES

A random draw will be held each week for ten (10) weeks starting the week of August 23, 2026, from among all eligible entries received.

GRAND PRIZE

A Grand Prize draw will be held during the week of November 15, 2026, in Montréal, Quebec.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

9. WINNER NOTIFICATION PROCESS

The Sponsor or its designated Representatives will make two (2) attempts to contact the selected participant by email and two (2) attempts by phone between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. (ET) during the seven (7) days following the draw.

If the selected participant cannot be reached during this period, they may be disqualified, and another eligible participant may be selected.

10. WINNER CONFIRMATION PROCESS

NO ONE IS A WINNER UNLESS AND UNTIL THE SPONSOR OFFICIALLY CONFIRM HIM/HER AS A WINNER. 

BEFORE BEING DECLARED AS A CONFIRMED PRIZE WINNER, EACH POTENTIAL WINNER WILL BE REQUIRED TO CORRECTLY ANSWER A MATHEMATICAL SKILL-TESTING QUESTION WITHOUT MECHANICAL OR OTHER AID.

DECLARATION & RELEASE

In order to be declared as a confirmed prize winner, the selected participant must sign and return the Declaration and Release form.

The winner must return the signed Declaration and Release Form within thirty (30) days of receiving it.

None of the Released Parties makes any representation or offers any warranty as to the quality or fitness of a Prize awarded as part of the Contest.

If an eligible winner does not answer the skill-testing question correctly, fails to return the required documents by the deadline, or is deemed ineligible, that winner will be disqualified, and another eligible winner may be selected.

11. CONTEST ADMINISTRATION

The Sponsor and its Representatives are not liable for printing errors, technical errors, or distribution or production errors.
The Released Parties will not be liable for computer system failures, Internet outages, transmission errors, or other technical issues that may affect the administration of the Contest.

The Sponsor reserves the right to adjust the dates, modify, suspend, or cancel the Contest in accordance with applicable laws.

12. GENERAL CONDITIONS

This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.

The decisions of the Sponsor with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and without right of appeal.
By participating in the Contest and accepting a Prize, each winner confirms compliance with these Rules and releases the Released Parties from any and all liability in connection with this Contest.

In the event of any discrepancy between the French and English versions of these Rules, the French version shall prevail.
The invalidity of any provision of these Rules will not affect the validity of any other provision.

Any matter relating to the validity, interpretation, or application of these Rules will be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

For Quebec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie for a ruling. 

13. PRIVACY NOTICE & USER GENERATED CONTENT

By entering this Contest, each participant expressly consents to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of their personal information by the Sponsor and its authorized Representatives, including Redemco Inc., solely for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy.

Personal information may be used, in particular, to verify participants’ eligibility, communicate with them, administer the Contest, conduct the draw, confirm and contact potential winners, award prizes, prevent fraud, comply with legal or regulatory requirements, and maintain records related to the Contest.

Personal information will be disclosed to third parties only to the extent necessary for the administration of the Contest (including to service providers involved in awarding prizes), when required by law, or with the participant’s consent.

Personal information will be retained only for as long as necessary to administer the Contest, resolve any disputes, and comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations, after which it will be securely destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the Sponsor’s record retention practices.

The winner agrees to the use of their name, likeness, city, and province of residence for promotional purposes related to the Contest, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

The winner’s name may be published on the Contest’s official website and through the Sponsor’s communication channels once their eligibility has been verified and their selection has been officially confirmed.
